*Obituary Delmer Rex Thompson
Delmer R. Thompson, Sr., 87, of Andrews passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010 at his home in Andrews, Texas.

Mr. Thompson was born October 25, 1922 in Burkburnett, Texas. He moved to Andrews in 1944 from Colorado City, Texas. January 15, 1945 he married Udene McCarley in Lovington, New Mexico. She preceded him in death in 1989.

He worked as a driller, tool pusher for many years in the oil fields of West Texas. Delmer loved to fish and loved to get all of his family together for fishing trips to Lake Buchannan, Texas.

He is survived by his son, Delmer R. Thompson, Jr. of Andrews; his daughter, Cynthia Ann Collinsworth of Andrews; one brother, Bobby J. Thompson of Burkburnett, Texas; one sister, Moguynetia Breaud of Lubbock, TX; 7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
