Funeral services for Johan Froese, age 80 of Seminole, will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Community Church at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Dave Klassen officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole, Texas.

Johan was born on May 15, 1943 in Cuauhtemoc, Mexico to Judith (Bergen) and Gerhard Froese. He married Aganetha Rempel in Cuauhtemoc, Mexico on September, 5, 1965. Johan enjoyed farming, hunting, and fishing. Johan along with his wife, Aganetha, owned and operated Grandma's Bakery, a favorite spot for breads and various baked goods, in Seminole for many years.

Johan Froese passed away Saturday, July, 22, 2023. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, and one grandson. He is survived by his wife, Aganetha of Seminole; four sons, George Froese and wife Eva of Seminole, Jake Froese and wife Susi of Seminole, John Froese and wife Agatha of Santa Teresa, New Mexico, and Ben Froese and wife Anna of Seminole; three daughters, Susie Giesbrecht of Canada, Nettie Froese of Seminole, and Judy Dyck and husband Peter of Poteau, Oklahoma; one brother, Bernhard Froese of Mexico; two sisters, Helena Rempel and Maria Froese, both of Mexico; 29 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
