Edith "Polly" Parker McDaniel, 93, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at a local nursing home.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel, Big Spring with Mike Couch officiating.

Edith was born September 17, 1922 in Fort Worth, and married J. E. Parker, he preceded her in death in 1973.

She volunteered with the Pink Ladies at Scenic Mountain Medical Center, and was a bookkeeper for Woolsworth and The Settles Hotel during WWII. She retired from Cosden Refinery where she was an accountant.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Edith is survived a son, Mike Parker of Big Spring; a daughter, Linda Keithley and husband, Karl, of Centreville, Virginia; a sister, Virginia Davidson of Plano; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Alfred Clay "Jake" Parker; a brother, Richard Tucker; two sisters, Mary Ellen Smith and Billie Marie Zymkoski; and three great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church Library, 507 W. FM 700, Big Spring, Texas, 79720.
