Wilford "Pa" Ramsey, 95, of Stanton died on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, in a local nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring with Rev. Daniel Armstrong, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Stanton, officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He was born on June 19, 1911, in Kaufman County, Texas and married Christine Day on Aug. 29, 1936, in Colorado City, Texas.

He came to Martin County in 1928 and farmed in the Merrick Community for many years. He moved to Stanton in December of 1985.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Ramsey of Stanton; one son, Earl "Beaver" Ramsey of Stanton; one daughter, Faye Fleckenstein of Stanton; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials to: Feed The Children, P. O. Box 36, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73101-0036.

Christine "Ma" Ramsey, 91, of Stanton, died on Sunday, August 5, 2007, in a local nursing home.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring with Rev. Daniel Armstrong pastor of First United Methodist Church of Stanton, officiating.

She was born on July 15, 1916, in Scurry County, Texas and married Wilford "Pa" Ramsey on August 29, 1936 in Colorado City, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2007.

Christine was a lifetime resident of Martin County.

She loved to travel and collected bottles, dolls and pictures.

She was a member of Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Faye and Roger Fleckenstein; one son and daughter-in-law, Earl "Beaver" and Veneta Ramsey all of Stanton; 4 grandchildren, Rance Ramsey, Paula Anderson, Cheryl Cook, Ricky Fleckenstein; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson.

The family suggests memorials be made to Home Hospice, 901 W. Missouri, Midland, Texas 79701 or to Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation, P.O. Box 400, Stanton, Texas 79782.

The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM, Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at the funeral home.
