Frances Lou Neill Ramsey passed away on March 27, 2015 in Phoenix, Ariz.

Frances was born on April 19, 1928, in Big Spring, Texas to Frank Neill and Lena Lucille Bridges Neill.

She is preceded in passing by her mother and father in 1976, brothers Sammie 1932, Johnnie 1992 and her older sister Ozella Neill Long 2005.

She is survived by her husband William Ramsey, children Celia Fitch, Janna Bolis, and Bryan Neill Fox, along with four granddaughters and two nieces Alice Long Kolb and Fran Long Patterson.

She grew up in the Otis Chalk oil field community 26-miles southeast of Big Spring. Her father, Frank was employed by Magnolia Oil Company, later renamed Mobil, as an oil production pumper. The Neill's and the other Otis Chalk families lived through the Great American Depression.

She once remarked, "I guess we were just poor white trash and didn't know it. But we were happy. There wasn't anyone coming around to tell us we should be miserable and unhappy."

Her experiences growing up drove her to become a self-made woman, and devoted mother.

She lived most of her adult life in New Mexico with the last 17 years in Sun Lakes, Ariz.

Her final resting place will beside her beloved sister, Ozella.

A graveside burial service will held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 7 at Trinity Memorial Cemetery in Big Spring.
