Clema Helen Ray, 85, of Big Spring, died Saturday, September 24, 2016 in an Austin assisted living facility.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring with her son, Rev. Pat Ray, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the funeral home.

Clema was born December 13, 1930 in Big Spring, Texas and married Thomas Patrick Ray, Sr. June 5, 1948 in Stanton. He preceded her in death September 7, 2002.

She is known for her quick wit and love for her family.

She was a member of the East Fourth Street Baptist Church.

Clema is survived by one son, Pat Ray, Jr. and wife, Gwen of Big Spring; four daughters, Janis Madewell and husband, Don of Universal City, Diane Franklin and husband, Doug of Hamilton, Helen Scott of Big Spring, and Mollie Biddison and husband, Tom of Austin; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Mike Ray; a son-in-law, Kenny Scott; her parents, Grover and Clara Belle (Lyles) Potts; and two brothers, Edwin Earl Potts and Robbie Lyles Potts.
