RAY, STEPHEN LYN Passed away January 19, 2007. Steve was born January 19, 1969 in Dallas, TX to Charles and Judy Ray. Steve attended school in Plano, TX thru his senior year. Steve then attended the University of North Texas in Denton where he pledged Kappa Alpha fraternity. All of us that knew and loved Steve will remember him for his love of sports, animals and music. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan from the time he knew what football was. He even wrote a sports column for the Lakeside Times newspaper in Little Elm, TX in his later years. The majority of Steves professional career was in sales. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Allen Ray; grandmothers, Opal French (Grandma Lubbock) and Sadie Ray (Grandma Dallas) and Shadow his favorite companion for 15 years. He is survived by his mother and father; an uncle, Kirby Brown, Big Spring,; aunt, Sue Carter, Big Spring; uncle, Dan Ray, Dallas; aunt, Dodie Murphy, Austin. Several cousins, Heather and Ryan Murphy, Austin; David and Michael Ray, Plano; Kirby Brown II, Austin; Andrea Gee, Big Spring; Ronda Rutledge, Austin; Shanna Cahill, Georgetown; John Robert and Joe Gould, Midland and his favorite companion, "Halen" and a wide circle of friends. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2007 in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Sally Brown officiating. *Obituary Judy Brown Ray
Judy Ray was born on January 23, 1947 in Big Spring Texas to Opal and Kelly Brown. Judy was raised and went to school in Big Spring through Junior High. The summer between her freshman and sophomore years, her mother remarried and Judy moved to Lubbock, where she graduated from Lubbock High School and attended Texas Tech University. In 1967, Judy began her life-long dream of being a flight attendant with American Airlines. Judy was based in Chicago and later transferred back to Texas, where she lived in Dallas until her death. Judy married Charles Ray and they had one son, Stephen Lyn. Steve was the joy of her life and unfortunately passed away on his 38th birthday in 2007. His ashes will be buried with Judy's in Big Spring. Judy spent her adult years after American Airlines, working primarily in Commercial Real Estate and the multifamily industry. Judy was VP of Marketing with Pace Realty Corporation for over 25 years and then went to work for Palladium USA and Omnium Management. Judy was known for her marketing abilities and her decorating skills. She served as the on-site Property Manager at Verona for 9 years, until she had to step down, due to medical issues in April of 2017. She remained a Consultant with Palladium until her death. Judy's passions in life were reading, music, decorating and wrapping gifts for her friends and family. She had many collections including Swarovski annual Christmas ornaments, her beloved rabbits, hearts and angels. She adored each holiday and decorated her home accordingly. Judy is preceded in death by her son, Stephen Lyn Ray, mother, Opal French and sister, Sue Carter. Survivors include her brother, Kirby Brown of Big Spring, Texas, nephew Kirby Brown II, (wife Katharine) of Eugene, Oregon, niece Andrea Gee, (husband Gary) of Big Spring, niece Ronda Rutledge, (husband Zane) of Austin, Texas and niece Shanna Cahill, (husband Leland) of Georgetown, Texas. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a future date. Judy will be cremated and buried, along with her son's ashes, in Big Spring, Texas at Trinity Memorial Park
