Kaye “Kater” Richardson, 69, of Big Spring, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
She was born January 15, 1952 in Memphis, Tennessee to Herbert and Rubye Clark Stoecker, and married Daryl Richardson December 29, 1980 in Big Spring.
Kaye came to Big Spring in 1982 from Abilene and worked at the Big Spring State Hospital, retiring in 2006 as a nurse manager. She then worked in home health for a number of years.
She was a member of Alive in Christ Lutheran Church and was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi, the Texas Public Employee Association and the Texas Nurses Association.
Survivors include her husband, Daryl Richardson; three children, Amber Bailey, Dane Richardson and wife, Lynn, and Ashley Garza and husband, Tony; six grandchildren, Tanner Bailey, Seth Bailey, Aubrey Richardson, Antonio Garza, Collins Garza and Charlie Richardson; one great-grandson, Noah Bailey; one brother, Steven Stoecker and wife, Erin; and two sisters, Becky McReynolds and husband, Gregg, and Ruthie Kissick and husband, Ron.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William Stoecker; and a sister, Caroll Stoecker.
The family suggests memorials to Alive in Christ Lutheran Church, 2805 Lynn Dr., Big Spring, Texas 79720.
