Wanda Yarbrough, 70, of Colorado City, formerly of Forsan died Sunday, June 20, 2021.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM with the family receiving friends from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2:30 PM Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel.
Wanda was born September 22, 1950 to Helen Louise Bohanan and Lee Roy Brown, Sr. in Lubbock.
She grew up in Jourdanton and graduated from Jourdanton High School in 1969.
She married Darrell Yarbrough in Big Spring on August 29, 1985. They lived in Forsan from1985 until 2003. They then moved to Colorado City.
She worked at the Big Spring State Hospital until retiring due to ill health.
She loved her fur babies.
Wanda is survived by her husband: Darrell of Colorado City; one daughter: Rhonda Shelton (Todd Key) of Uvalde; one son: Walker Stendebach (Meloni) of Jourdanton; two sisters: Kay Brown of Cameron and Jacque Stacy (Jerry) of Jourdanton; four grandchildren: Addison Stendebach, Riley Stendebach, James Shelton (Madison) and Jarrett Shelton (Kayla); two great grandchildren: Henson Shelton and Ellie Shelton; step-mother: Pat Brown of Houston; and mother-in-law: Loretta Yarbrough.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Lee Roy Brown, Jr. and Mark Brown.
