Funeral services for Cornelius Banman, age 43 of Seminole, Texas, will be held Friday, June 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Atlas Church with Pastor Jimmie Peters officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Memorial Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Mr. Banman was born in Mexico on August 8, 1980 to Susana (Funk) and Cornelius Banman. He married Mary Peters in Lubbock, Texas on May 19, 2019. He worked as a mechanic and enjoyed working on cars, as well as woodworking. He was always joking around and had a great sense of humor; he was very generous and would do anything for his friends or family. He loved children and animals and enjoyed listening to old fashioned gospel music.

Cornelius Banman passed away at his home in Seminole on Saturday, June 8, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Mary Banman of Seminole, Texas; his parents, Susana and Cornelius Banman of Mexico; three sons, Peter Banman, Isaac Banman, and Franz Banman, all of Canada; two stepsons, Johnathan Rempel of Seminole, and Abram Rempel of Deming, New Mexico; one daughter, Sara Banman of Canada; two stepdaughters, Elizabeth Rempel of Lubbock, Texas, and Veronica Welch of Louisiana; four brothers, John Banman of Seminole, Franz Banman of Kansas, and David Banman and Herman Banman, both of Mexico; three sisters, Kathrina Rempel of Canada, and Susana Klassen and Greta Martens, both of Mexico; eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
