Susie Delores (Hogan) Holliday received her wings Tuesday Sept. 21, 2021 at her home in Austin TX at the young age of 90 Susie was born in Dawson GA (4/16/1931) grew up in Albany, GA then moved to Hartford CT as a teen. Susie retired from Fleet Bank (aka Hartford National Bank). as a Supervisor of Correspondent Banking. She relocated to Austin TX where she lived for over 25 years. Susie was a Professional Seamstress and enjoyed Cards Dancing Baseball Reading and Crossword Puzzles. She was also a member of the Elks for over 50 years and a former Daughter Ruler of the Hartford Trellis Temple #663 and Texas Temple #1254 Susie was predeceased by her parents Roosevelt and Julia Mae Hogan Sr. Brothers David Lee Hogan and Roosevelt Hogan Jr. Sisters Josephine Lindsey and Yvonne Porter also Former Husband David Sharp Holliday. Susie leaves three siblings Thelma Lee Johnson (Olen) Of Highpoint NC. Janice Locke of New Britain CT and John Hogan (Angela) of Hartford CT Six children Robert Hogan (Wanda)Dallas TX Rosalind Gilbert (Dec Johnnie) Columbus GA. Julia Holliday Farmington CT Suzanne Holliday-Thomas (Michael)Wethersfield CT. Jacqueline Holliday-Kelly (Marvin) Cedar Park TX. Kevin Holliday (Nikki) Round Rock TX.17 Grandchildren 25 Great Grandchildren 12 Great Grandchildren Goddaughter Tiffany Tucker and a host of Family and Friends Memorial Service will be on October 15, 2021at 3pm at Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church 8500 Cameron Road Austin, TX 78754. David Sharp Holliday, 82, of Wethersfield, peacefully crossed over on November 30, 2013 at Hartford Hospital. He was born to the late John Sharp Holliday and the late Carrie Elizabeth (Dunn) Holliday. David was well liked and known at every job he worked. He worked at Laurel Beef, MDC, Rocky Hill Ferry Company, Connecticut Foundry; and Hartford Hospital where he also retired. He leaves to grieve his ex-wife, Susie Holliday, six children, Julia Holliday, Suzanne Holliday-Thomas (Michael); Jacqueline Holliday-Kelly (Marvin); Kevin Holliday (Nikki); Robert Hogan (Wanda) and Rosalind Gilbert. 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grands, 2 great-great-grands. 8 siblings, a long time devoted friend, Johnnie Mae Hardwick and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 8, at 4 p.m. which will be held at Gethsemane Missionary Church, 570 Tower Ave, Hartford, CT. All Faith Memorial Chapel, 90 John Fitch Blvd., South Windsor, CT has charge of arrangements.
