Reads: Minnie wife of John Mahler Born Sept. 7, 1846 Died April 25, 1907 ..She was a good and affectionate wife, a fond mother and friend to all.
Charlotte Wilhemina Abel was born in Germany and immigrated to the United States with her parents in 1851. At the age of seventeen, she met and married John Mahler Sr on Jan. 28, 1864 in Wisconsin. Shortly thereafter they moved to Indianola, Calhoun Co., Texas where they were farmers, raising 10 children. Minnie's stone is located just to the right of her husband John's. Many of their children are also buried in the Edgar Family Cemetery.
