Funeral services for Elmer "Slim" Anderson 75, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the United Pentecostal Church of Electra with the Rev. James E. Pounds, pastor of Holliday Community United Pentecostal Church, officiating. Assisting was the Rev. Wendell P. Elms, pastor of Life Tabernacle Church.

Burial was in Electra Memorial Park under direction of Dutton-Tanner Funeral Home of Iowa Park.

Anderson was born March 3, 1915, in Mena, Ark. He died Saturday at his home in Iowa Park.

He and Arlie Hunter were married May 23, 1942, in Electra. She died in 1962.

Anderson worked for many years for the old Electra Ice Company and delivered ice daily to many businesses and private residences. After the ice company closed, he went to work for an Electra pipeline construction company, and then went to work for National Tank Company. He worked there for 25 years, retiring in May, 1980. He moved from Electra to Iowa Park in 1983. He was Pentecostal.

Survivors include three daughters, Norma Jean Dutton and Betty Sue Cash, both of Iowa Park, and Linda Joyce Anderson of Electra; three brothers, J. T. of Ontario, Calif., Roy Leon of Henderson, Nev., and Marion C. of Electra; and five grandchildren._

Funeral services for Mrs. Elmer Anderson, 43, were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday from the chapel of the James B Totten and Son Funeral Home.

Rev. E.L. Holley, pastor of the Pentecostal Church, officiated. Burial was in Electra Memorial Park.

Mrs. Anderson died Thursday in the Electra Hospital shortly after giving birth to a daughter. The baby is in good health, hospital officials reported.

Born near Fort Worth on July 12, 1918, Mrs. Anderson had resided in Electra most of her life.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Jean and Betty Sue of the home and the infant daughter; four brothers, Louis Hunter of Electra, John Hunter, Andy Hunter, both of Fort Worth, and Eldon Hunter of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and four sisters, Mrs. Louise Johnson of Houston, Mrs. Ava Bolin of Boyd, Mrs. G. O. Glisson and Mrs. Oscar Urban, both of Electra._
