Funeral services for G.C. Duren, 8, who died March 22 in a local nursing home, were held Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
The services were conducted from the Southside Church of Christ with minister, David Rix, officiating.
Burial was in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of James B Totten and Sons Funeral Home. Pallbearers were H.C. Bud Greer, R.O. McCullough, Alton Holbrook, Lloyd Jones, C.I. Birdwell of Wichita Falls and Delmar Ballard.
Born Oct. 24, 1887, in Desoto, Texas, he had resided in Electra since 1927. He was a retired oil field pumper.
Survivors include two sons, Hubert Duren of Electra and Leon Duren of Wichita Falls; three daughters, Mrs. Loreta Swafford of Electra, Mrs. Lorean Adams of Frederick, Okla. and Mrs. Janet Austin of Lawton; 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren._

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Virginia Duren, 72, who died Friday in her home were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Church of Christ.
Frank Pierce, minister of the Church of Christ and A.F. Thurman, Frederick, Okla., retired minister, officiated. Burial was in the Electra Cemetery under the direction of Totten and Son Funeral Home. Pallbearers were her grandsons: Terry Austin, Burkburnett; Dwayne Duren of Archer City, Harry Adams of Frederick; Douglas Duren, Rollo Duren and Kenneth Duren, all of Electra.
Mrs. Duren was born April 17, 1888 in Dallas. She moved to Electra from Burkburnett in 1927. She and her husband, G.C. Duren, two sons, Hubert of Electra, Leon of Olney; three daughters, Mrs. Loraine Adams of Frederick, Okla.; Mrs. Janet Austin, Henrietta and Mrs. Loretta Swafford, Electra; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren._
