Murrell married, 9 Jan 1921 in Tarrant Co., TX, Alma F Schwenkenberg, a daughter of Arthur J Schwenkenberg.

Father of Dorothy Nell, Alma Elaine "Bootsie" and Frances Elizabeth Camp.

Grandson of Asbury Murrell Camp & Mary Haygood and Francis Marion & Lear A Whitfield.

CAMP, Murell Marion of San Gabriel. Age 70. Died 1/16/1966 (Sunday) at his home near San Gabriel following a lengthy illness. Services held (Monday) from Phillips & Luckey Chapel, Rockdale. Burial in family plot at the Locklin Cemetery. Rev. W.R. Parmer, pastor of Golinda Baptist Church, officiated.

Mr. Camp better known as Murrell was BORN 1/12/1896. He was a farmer and despite his illness he continued to see after his vast farming interests. Chairman of the board of directors of Rockdale State Bank, 32nd Degree Mason and Member of Ben Hur Shrine. Member of San Gabriel Christian Church.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Mrs. Alma S. Camp; 3 daughters, Mrs. Roland N. (Dorothy Nell) Flick of Houston, Mrs. Sam P. (Bootsie) Peebles, Jr. of Rockdale and Mrs. C.W. (Frances) Elliot of Dallas; brother, W.H. (Ike) Camp of San Gabriel; 3 sisters, Mrs. N.L. (Mary) Leachman of Dallas, Mrs. R.R. (Isabel) Jackson of Denver, CO., and Miss Lois Camp of Dallas; 6 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
