Funeral services for Bette Anne Stevens Hughes, 85, of Seminole will be conducted Sunday, September 3, 2017, at 2:00 PM in the First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Joe Lupusan officiating. Interment will follow in Gaines County Memorial Cemetery with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole. Bette passed away peacefully Thursday, August 31st in Seminole surrounded gy her family.

Bette was born March 12, 1932 in Graceville, Florida to Spurgeon and Eva Elizabeth Clark. While in Florida Bette was secretary for the Home Demonstration Agent and the State Controllers Office. Bette was a talented organist, pianist, and sang with the Merry Four Quartet and the Confederate Quartet in Marianna, Florida and her family, "The Clark Family". In 1953, she married W. D. "Billy" Stevens. They moved to Seminole in 1974 where she began her 25 years with Seminole Memorial Hospital as Business Office Manager. She served in her community as president and secretary of the Business and Professional Women Club, 4-H Club President, Worthy Matron and Organist of the Eastern Star, Rotary Club Pianist, Pink Ladies Auxiliary, Senior Citizen's, Christ Ambassador Youth Organization, and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband W. D. "Billy" Stevens, her two sisters Kathryn Rudd, Peggy Register, and brother Rev. Charles Clark.

Bette is survived by her husband Raymond Hughes of Seminole; one son Dallas Stevens, Jr. and his wife Debi of Lubbock; two daughters Debbie Titus and her husband Gary of Hobbs, New Mexico, Dona Stevens of Kerrville; three sisters Ella Mae Harris of Malone, Florida, Elizabeth Clearman of Dothan, Ala, and Rebecca Wells of Macon, Ga; her grandchildren Daniel Stevens and his wife Katrina, Dallas Stevens III and his wife Kacey, Billy Titus and his wife Rebecca, Samantha McCarty and her husband Bryan, Cade Hughes and his wife Amanda, Jerod Vuicich and his wife Macey, Nick Vuicich and his wife Bailey, and Cooper Hughes; great-grandchildren Abby Stevens, Will Stevens, Ella Stevens, Ashton Stevens, Preston Stevens, Brooklyn Stevens, Seth Titus, Jordyn Titus, Emma McCarty, Creed Vuicich, Channing Vuicich, Breyer Vuicich, and Mason Hughes.

Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church or the Seminole Memorial Healthcare Center.

Family and Friends visitation was held at 5:30 - 7:00 PM Saturday Evening in the Ratliff Funeral Home.
