Services for Joseph N. Tanzey, 66, of 101 Main St., Stinnett, were at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Victory Baptist Church of Stinnett with the Rev. Ray Cobb, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Decatur, officiating and the Rev. Perry Forrester, pastor of Victory Baptist Church, assisting.

Interment was in Sunset Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Minton Mortuary.

Mr. Tanzey died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo. He had been a resident of Stinnett for 30 years and was a heavy equipment operator.

He was born March 18, 1910 in Dewey, Okla. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church and IUOE Local Union 819.

Survivors include his wife, Ada May, of the home; two sons, Alvin E. of Boyce, La., and Tommy of Stinnett; one daughter, Mrs. Janice Hooks of Stinnett; and seven grandchildren.

Mrs. Ada Mae (Meeme) Tanzey, 68, of Stinnett, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday at North Plains Hospital [sic].

Mrs. Tanzey had been a a [sic] resident of Stinnett for 30 years. She came to Stinnett from Garland Kansas. Her husband, Joseph, preceded her in death in 1976.

Mrs. Tanzey is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Janice Hooks, Stinnett, and two sons, Alvin of Boice, La., and Tommy of Stinnett. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and one brother, David Rash, Parksville, Mo.

She was a member of the Victory Baptist Church, Stinnett.

Services are pending with Alexander-Simpson Funeral Directors of Stinnett.

Services for Mrs. Ada Mae Tanzey, 68, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Victory Baptist Church in Stinnett.

The Rev. Perry Forrester, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery by Alexander-Simpson Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Tanzey died Monday. She had lived in Stinnett for 30 years. She was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Stinnett.

She is survived by a daughter, two sons, a brother, and nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Claude Hooks, Johnny Hooks, R. Irvin, Herbert Kirk, Curly Goodwin and Edgar Barnett.
