Services for Mrs. Perle Barton, 85, of 325 1st St., Phillips, were at 11 a.m. today in Ed Brown & Sons Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. Weldon Rives, pastor of Phillips United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Barton, a housewife, died at 6:15 a.m. Saturday in North Plains Hospital. She was a native of DeLeon but had lived in Phillips for 36 years. She was a member of the Phillips United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a son, B.O. Barton of Phillips; a daughter, Mrs. P.O. Eakin of Phillips; two sisters, Mrs. W.E. Jenkins of Uvalde and Mrs. Jackie Cavett of Tahoka; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Her husband Jim Barton died in April of 1978.

Honorary pallbearers will be D.W. McClellan, Walter Meyer, L.E. Cates, Donald Fine, Ernest E. Hatfield, D. Russell Weston, O.R. Carpenter, Jack Winters, James Harmon, Calvin Green and D.Z. Jackson.
