BORGER - Vernon L. Collins, 74, died Friday, April 14, 2000.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Trinity Lutheran Church with Robert Kuhlmann, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in The Garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Mr. Collins was born in Lockney. He moved from Plainview to Borger in 1950. He served in the Army during World War II. He had worked as a supervisor at Phillips Petroleum Co. until he retired in 1985. He coached Little League and American Legion Baseball and held several offices in the church. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He married Frances Scheele in 1946 at Plainview.
Survivors include his wife; a son Philip Collins of Bartlesville, Okla.; and three grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to American Cancer Association or American Heart Association.

BORGER - Frances Rose Collins, 75, died Thursday, March 21, 2002, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Trinity Lutheran Church with Doug Koehler, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Collins moved to Borger in 1950 from Plainview.
Survivors include a son, Philip Collins of Bartlesville, Okla.; a sister, Mildred Favor of Blanco; and three grandchildren.
