*Obituary for Leonard
Leonard Franklin Gipson, 84, Borger, died Monday, May 31, 1993 in Borger Nursing Center.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gateway Baptist Church with the Rev. L. Kent York, pastor, officiating.
A native of Wheeler, he had been a Borger resident for 64 years. He was an insulator for Local Union No. 66. He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Gipson and a granddaughter Didi Blackman.
He married Minnie Belle Tate Aug. 21, 1981 in Borger.
Survivors include his wife; four stepsons, Gene Blackman of Amarillo; Bobby N. Sargent and Elijah E. Tate, both of Stinnett; and William W. Tate of Borger; a stepdaughter, Elberta Kay Tolleson of Borger; two brother, Henry Gipson of Sonoma, Calif.; and Buster Gipson of Shamrock; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby L. Gipson, 68, who died Sunday, were held at 11 a.m. today in Minton Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of the Bible Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial followed in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.
A native of Burns City, Mrs. Gipson had lived in Borger since 1929.
Surviving are her husband, Leonard, a son, a half sister, a grandson, and a great-granddaughter.
