FRITCH - Clovis James Hunt, 84, died Sunday, September 28, 1997, in the V.A. Medical Center in Amarillo.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 1997, at Westlawn Memorial Park, with Gregg Simmons, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the "Field of Honor" at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of N.S. Briggs & Sons of Amarillo.
A native of Foster, Okla., he had been a longtime Borger resident before moving to Fritch.
Mr. Hunt worked for Phillips Petroleum Co. at the Plains Plant before retiring in 1978.
He married Virgie Mae Auldridge on May 15, 1949, in Vernon.
Survivors include his wife, Virgie Hunt of the home; three sons, Jerry Hunt of Borger, Danny Hunt of Fritch and Bobby Hunt of North Carolina; two sisters, Mearl Searcy of Justin and Pearl Ryder of Benjamin; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will be staying at 109 S. Robey St. in Fritch.
