FRITCH - Funeral rites for Nelson Edwin Jameson, 91, who died Sunday morning in North Plains Hospital at Borger, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Fritch Church of Christ.

Don Stone of Clarendon will officiate and burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Simpson's Funeral Home of Borger.

Mr. Jameson, a longtime area farmer, moved to Fritch in 1929 from Canyon. He also was retired from the Natural Gas Pipeline Co. of America.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; three sons, T.T. of Fritch, Eddie of Semionle [sic] and Carl of San Jose, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. P.A. Compton and Mrs. Archie Goad, both of Fritch and Mrs. Arthur Day of Dumas; two brothers, Allen of Silver and Fred of San Angelo; a sister, Mrs. Alice Humble of Midland; 17 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Jameson, 93, who died at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday in Leisure Lodge, are pending with Simpson's Funeral Home of Borger.

Mrs. Jameson was born May 17, 1882 in Tom Green County and has been a resident of Fritch since 1929 when she moved there from Canyon.

She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Her husband, Nelson Edwin Jameson, preceded her in death in 1973.

Survivors include three sons, Eddie of Seminole, Turney of Fritch and Carl of San Jose, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Compton and Mrs. Sue Goad, both of Fritch and Mrs. Lela Day of Dumas; 17 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
