The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures.
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul. Psalm 23

Obituary
Mrs. Flora Lovett (Chambers) King, 57, 930 Harrington was pronounced dead on arrival at Neblett Hospital about 5:45 p.m. Sunday following a one car accident about three miles south of Canyon on U.S. Highway 87.

Funeral arrangements for the Long-time Borger resident are pending with Minton Mortuary here.

Mrs. King was alone in the foreign made compact car. As she drove north on U.S. 87, witnesses said the auto started to pass another and that the driver, Mrs. King, apparently lost control of the vehicle.

Highway Patrolman Kendall Meadows said the witnesses to the accident said the small auto overturned four times before coming to rest on its top in the median of the divided highway.

Mrs. King was thrown another 90 feet beyond where the car stopped overturning.

Peace Justice W.W. Hancock, acting as coroner ruled the death accidental. Mrs. King reportedly suffered a crushed skull, a broken right ankle, and a broken left wrist.

The car was totally demolished.

LaGrone Funeral Chapel was in charge of Canyon arrangements.

Mrs. King had been a Borger resident for a long number of years. She was born Sept. 3, 1906 and had been employed by Mrs. R.G. Hawkins.
