Curtis McKinney died Saturday, October 26 in golden Plains Community Hospital in Borger.

Mr. McKinney was born at Hedley in 1911 and was raised in Dodson and Attended Dodson Schools, where he was an accomplished basketball player.

He was a safety supervisor for Phillips Petroleum Company, a member of First Southern Baptist Church and Golden Agers Senior Citizen Group of Fritch.

He was married to Edna Thompson of Paducah. They lived in the Borger and Fritch area for 48 years.

Survivors include his wife, Edna of Fritch; a son, Bill McKinney of Sundown; a daughter, Kay Ward of Emory; two brothers, Wylie and Paul McKinney, both of Borger and six grandchildren.

BORGER - Edna McKinney, 94, died Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, in Hillsboro.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors with David Marcum officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Devotion at Westlawn Cemetery.

Edna was born Jan. 2, 1916, in Paducah. The majority of her life was spent in Borger, married to Curtis McKinney, who preceded her.

Survivors include two children, Kay Ward of Hubbard and Bill McKinney of Keller; six grandchildren, Kaynetta Little, Tammy Hollingsworth, Jeff Ward, Mike Ward, Zach McKinney and Kimberly Huffman; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
