Obituary for Wylie
Wylie C. McKinney, 88, of Borger died Thursday, August 7, 1997 in Amarillo.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Andrews Methodist Church with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of the Bible Baptist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in the Garden of Devotion in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Pallbearers will be Bill McKinney, Donny Paul McKinney, Jeff Ward, Mark Haydon, Jonny Reagan and Brian Reagan.

A native of Hedley, Mr. McKinney was raised in the Dodson-Wellington area and came to Borger in 1942. While in Wellington, he served as deputy sheriff and constable of the area. He was a Baptist and a past member of the Hutchinson County Sheriffs Posse. He worked for Phillips Petroleum Company as a foreman before his retirement.

Mr. McKinney was preceded in death by his wife, Mable, in February of 1984.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Casey Collins of Fritch and Sally and Jim Hayes of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one brother, Paul McKinney of Borger; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Obituary for Mabel
Mabel McKinney, 78, of 401 Caliche St., died at 9:43 a.m. Thursday in North Plains Hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Andrew United Methodist Church with the Rev. Weldon Rives, pastor, and the Rev. Lyman Paul Wood, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

A native of Stephenville, she had been a Borger resident for 42 years. She was a housewife and member of the St. Andrew United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Wylie; two daughters, Mary Brice of Borger, and Sally Haydon of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister, Odessa Crane of Garden Grove, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
