Funeral services for Jessica Jayne Scott, of 407 Delaware, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Minton Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Charles Wyatt, pastor of the Keeler Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Mortuary.
Jessica was called "the tube baby" during her first year of life, because she had to be fed through a tube in her stomach. She was born with her esophagus connected to the lungs, and with a defective trachea.
She had had five operations before she was six months old.
She became ill again this summer suffering from pneumonia. She entered St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo July 13 and had surgery July 16. She died Saturday at 9 p.m. in St. Anthony's Hospital.
Jessica had been a lifetime resident of Borger. She was born May 6, 1969.
Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Scott of 407 Delaware; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Scott of Borger; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dub Scott of Borger; paternal great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Willis of Pampa; maternal great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Scott of Bartlesville and Mr. and Mrs. Elza Moffitt of Borger; and great great grandfather, W.J. Scott of Ada, Oklahoma.
Pall bearers will be John Day, Efton Ford, Murry Jennings, and Sammy Scott.
Donations may be made to the crippled children's home in care of Texas State Department of Health, Division of Crippled Children's Services, Austin, Texas.
