*Obituary for Darrell
Darrell J. Scott, 89 of Borger died Monday August 12th in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm at Minton Memorial chapel with Rev. Leonard Forsythe of Bible Baptist church officiating. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Darrell was born December 19, 1923 in Osage County, Oklahoma to Jesse and May Scott. He served in the US Army during WWII. He served in the Southwest Pacific, New Britton Island, New Guinea, Admiralty Islands, Dutch East Indies and the Philippines. He achieved the rank of TEC 5. He married Wanda Moffitt June 21, 1947 at Phillips, Texas and moved to Borger in 1948. He retired from Mid America Pipeline as an inspector. He was a member of Keeler Baptist Church, master electrician and was master carpenter. He and Wanda raised champion painted horses and loved guns.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Wanda Darrellene Scott in 1988 and a brother Robert L. Scott.

He is survived by his wife Wanda of the home. Daughter Linda Scott Franklin and husband Lary of Borger. Brother Douglas Wayne Scott of New Kirk, Oklahoma. Sister Betty Ann Ramsey of New Kirk, Oklahoma. Grandchildren Stacy Franklin, Jason Franklin and Kelby Franklin. Four Great Grandchildren.

Wanda Beola Scott
June 17, 1928 - October 10, 2016

Wanda Beola Moffitt Scott, 88, of Borger passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 in Lubbock, Texas. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Rev. Leonard Forsythe, Bible Baptist Church will officiate.

Wanda was born on June 17, 1928 to Elza and Jewel (Baxter) Moffitt of Achille, Oklahoma. Wanda grew up in Phillips, Texas and graduated from Phillips High School in 1946. It was there she met her husband of 66 years, Darrell James Scott of Osage County, Oklahoma. Darrell visited relatives in Phillips in the summers, it was then that those very relatives kept pushing him to ask Wanda for a date. It was a match made in Heaven. They were blessed with two daughters, Darrellene and Linda.

Wanda retired from a long and successful career with Phillips 66. She then joined Darrell on road trips throughout the United States and Canada. Wanda loved hosting parties, knitting, sewing and showing their horses. She loved and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Darrellene, granddaughter, Jessica Jayne Scott, grandson, Jeremy Lynn Franklin and sister, Elza Marie Patterson of Borger.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Scott Franklin of Borger and her husband of 46 years, Lary Franklin. Grandchildren- Stacy Franklin of Borger; Jason Franklin & wife Shelley of Houston, Texas; Kelby Franklin & wife Christina of Pampa, Texas. Great-grandchildren- Darian Franklin, Taelor Franklin, Bethany Franklin and Gage Franklin. Loving niece, Peggy Patterson Petton & husband, David of Burleson, Texas and other loving extended family members.
