Charles Edwin Shelton, Sr., 81, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in Amarillo.
Graveside service will be held 11 am Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Westlawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Charles was born December 1, 1931 in Quanah, to Lottie and Archie Shelton. He married Donna Ruth Phillips in 1952 in Vernon. Charles was a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church and served in the United States Army. He loved to fish, hunt and do crafts.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Donna in June of 2009; three brothers and a sister.

Charles is survived by his sons, James Lynn Shelton and his wife, Kay of Amarillo, Charles Edwin Shelton, Jr. of Turpin, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Murlene Jancik of Wichita Falls; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

BORGER - Donna R. Shelton, 74, died Sunday, June 7, 2009, in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Westlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Paul C. Burwash, pastor of Fairlanes Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Shelton was born Sept. 26, 1934, in Vernon to Vivian and Dovie Phillips. She married Charles Shelton in 1952 in Vernon.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Lynn Shelton of Amarillo and Charles Edwin Shelton Jr. of Turpin, Okla.; a sister, Murlene Janzik of Scotland, Texas; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
