GEORGETOWN - Alice Thomas, 68, died Tuesday, March 31, 1998.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 3, at the Cook-Walden/Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Jervis Philpot officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Westlawn Cemetery in Borger under the direction of Cook-Walden/Davis Funeral Home.
Honorary casket bearers were Fred Wilson Sr., Fred Wilson Jr., Travis White, Buck Christian, Leroy Hall, Louis Hardeman and Walter Johnson.
Mrs. Thomas was born to Mitt and Rosa White in Lookeba, Okla., on May 7, 1929. She was a resident of Borger until 1965 where she was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church.
She was married to Dave Thomas for 48 years. In 1973 she moved to Georgetown, where she became a member of the Crestview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by one son, Larry Thomas and one sister, Mary Burleson.
Survivors include her husband, Dave of the home; two sons, Gary Thomas of Round Rock and Gerald Thomas of Georgetown; one daughter, Dava Pursley of Jarrell; her mother, Rosa white [sic] of Georgetown; one brother, Walter Cloke of Silver City, N.M.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association Austin Chapter at P.O. Box 4829 in Austin, 78765.
