A.D. Welch, 83, died Thursday, Jan 20, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Bro. D. Jay Lewis, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in "The Garden of Hope" at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Welch was born on Apr. 14, 1921 in Electra. He had been a Borger resident since 1947. Mr. Welch married Nita Thompson on Oct. 12, 1958, in Wichita Falls. He was a machinist for Phillips Petroleum Co. and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He delivered Meals on Wheels for the Borger Opportunity Center.
His survivors include his wife, Nita Welch of the home, one sister - Wanda Armstrong of Corpus Christi, and several nieces and nephews.
Casket bearers will be Charlie Davis, James Davis, Melvin Fowlkes, Gary Murrow, Paul Thomas and Eddie Whittington.
Memorial may be made to your favorite charity.
