*Obituary
Mary "Ruth" Oma Briggs, 91, of Amarillo died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors Minton Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe of Bible Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Hope in Highland Park Cemetery.
Ruth was born Feb. 4, 1920, in Como. She married Lee Briggs and moved to Borger.
Ruth was former manager of Arcade Hotel and was a Southern Baptist. She loved her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Whig and Martha Warren; her husband, B.L. "Lee" Briggs, in 1982; a daughter, Carolyn Briggs; and three brothers, L.D. Warren, J.G. "Red" Warren and H.A. "Snow" Warren.
Survivors include a son, Ron Briggs and wife Eva of Amarillo; and four grandchildren, Kevin Lee Briggs and wife Crystal, Jody Briggs, Trey Briggs and wife Allyson, and Mary Ann Ellis.
