Fred Howard, 72, died Saturday, Nov. 7, in Lubbock.

Services are pending with Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Mr. Howard was born in McLean and had been a Borger resident since 1935. He married Johnnie Boyd on Dec. 30, 1949 in Borger. He was a former teacher for Borger Independent School Districts and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He served in the US Navy during World War II and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Johnnie, of the home; one daughter, Dian Jones of Allen; two brothers, Audrey Leslie Howard of Amarillo and Dale Howard of Fritch; one sister, Hazel Ruth Howard of Borger; and three grandchildren.

BORGER - Johnnie Mae Howard, 77, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, in Lubbock.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Terry Stegall of Grace Fellowship Church officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Howard was born June 9, 1929, in McLean. She married Fred Howard on Dec. 30, 1949, in Borger.

Survivors include a daughter, Dian Jones; three grandchildren, Stefanie Joanidis, Shannon Belding and Andrew Jones; and three great-grandchildren, Haley, Ashley and Lacey.
