*Obituary
BORGER - Alta Mae McDonald, 97, died Monday, Aug. 31, 2008.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Highland Park Cemetery with C.W. Parker, Odyssey Hospice chaplain, officiating. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Alta married Oren Lee McDonald on March 9, 1929, in Athens. She loved to garden, sew and cook.
Survivors include a daughter, Lois Burris of Borger; two sons, Bennie McDonald of Allen and Jimmie McDonald of Mission; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Odyssey Hospice, 6900 W. Interstate 40, Suite 150, Amarillo, TX 79106.
