BORGER - John Marvin Mills, 87, died Saturday, July 5, 2003.

Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. today in Highland Park Cemetery with Mr. Bob Thomas, chaplain of Crown of Texas Hospice, officiating. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Mr. Mills was born Sept. 14, 1915, in Cherryvale, Kan. He retired from Phillips Petroleum Co. in 1977.

Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn K. Craig of Borger.

The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson, Amarillo, TX 79105.

Esther Ruth Mills, 69, of 1112 Elmore, died Monday morning at her home in Borger.

A housewife, she was a native of Cherryvale, Kan., and a Borger resident for 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Adobe Walls Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 1059.

She is survived by her husband, John; one daughter, Marilyn Craig, Borger; one brother, James W. Meyer, Bartlesville, Okla.; two sisters, Jenney Louise Kelly, Pawnee, Okla., and Dorothy Thadigsman, Borger.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Oliver Mills in 1961.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Gordon Mitchell, associate pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be under the auspices of Adobe Walls Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 1059. Memorials may be made to the O.E.S. Home, c/o Adobe Walls O.E.S. Chapter 1059, Box 3153, Borger, Texas 79008.
