*Obituary
Mrs. Irene Nelson, a resident of Hutchinson county for the past 20 years died at a local hospital late Friday afternoon.
Mrs. Nelson had been an employee of the Phillips Petroleum Company for approximately 13 years, prior to her retirement.
She is survived by a son, H.R. Gamble, Borger; four daughters, Mrs. Hugh Higgins, Wellington, Kansas, Mrs. R.L. Wise, Arkansas City, Kansas, Mrs. Finley Allen, Booker, Texas, and Mrs. R.W. Marvel, Borger; two brothers, Emmett Green, Arkansas City, Kansas, and Frank Green, Long Beach, California.
One sister survives the deceased, Mrs. Cora Hall, Arkansas City, Kansas.
Mrs. Nelson also is survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The body will rest at the Blackburn-Shaw-Brown funeral home until 2:30 Sunday afternoon, when services will be conducted at the Phillips Baptist Church with the Rev. C.G. Sewell officiating.
Interment will be in Highland Park cemetery under the direction Park cemetery under the direction of Blackburn-Shaw-Brown.
