Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Borger Methodist Church for D.I. West, 74, who died at his residence at Fritch at 4 p.m. yesterday after an illness of two years.
A resident of this area for 20 years, West was an employee of Columbia Carbon before his retirement.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Emma Mae Cathey of Graham; eight sons, A.M., Graham, J.A. of Fritch, Isaac of Roby, Texas, Weldon of Fort Worth, M.E. of Skellytown, Jack of Fritch and Victor, who is a prisoner of war in Germany.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. L.C. Morrison and interment will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Home.
