SHAMROCK (Special) - Funeral services for Mrs. Greenwood Cordie Porter, 79, of Wheeler, were to be held in Wheeler at 3 p.m. today.

Mrs. Greenwood died in Wheeler Hospital at 1:30 a.m. Monday, following a three-week illness.

Officiating at the services was to be Rev. M.V. Smith, pastor of the First Methodist Church.

Burial was to be in Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of the Kirk-Mason Funeral Home.

A pioneer of Wheeler County, Mrs. Porter moved to the area from Greer County in 1902.

Survivors include four sons, Bert Graham, Dallas, Nelson Porter and George Porter, both of Wheeler, and Dennis Porter, Magic City; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
