WHEELER - M.W. "Bus" Walker, 84, died Sunday, May 16, 1993.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church of Wheeler with the Rev. Max Baird, pastor of the First Baptist Church at Kelton, and the Rev. Robert Helsley, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Mr. Walker, born in Bonita, moved to the Wheeler area in 1916 from Tucumcari, N.M. He married Dora Lee Wood in 1944 at Wheeler. She died in 1953. He was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the Shamrock Sheriff's Posse and the Wheeler Riding Club. He was a Baptist. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Walker Barrett in 1991 and stepson Bobby Henderson, in 1993.
Survivors include a daughter, Sarah Walker Pearce of Wheeler; two stepsons, Jerry Henderson of Crookston, Neb., and Larry Henderson of Caldwell; a sister, Mrs. J. Hub Hill of Dallas; two brothers, Huffman Walker of Kansas City, Mo., and Norris Walker of Pampa; and three grandchildren.
