Funeral services for George Neufeld Peters will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., in the Community Church with Pastor Dave Klassen officiating and Steve Klassen assisting, interment following in the Gaines County Cemetery under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home.

George passed away peacefully on Saturday; February 12, 2022 in his home surrounded by his wife and daughters.

George Neufeld Peters was born on January 12, 1955 in Mexico to Jacob and Elisabeth (Neufeld) Peters. He married Liesbeth Peters in Paraguay, South America on August 18, 1974. He moved his family to Seminole in August of 1980. He worked for farmers in the Gaines County area for many years. He was also a self-taught welder. He worked hard and took great pride in everything he did. He was a member of the Community Church. George was a man of few words, his actions spoke louder than anything he could have said. He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren with all of his heart. One of George's favorite things to do during the Christmas season was to display Christmas lights in their yard. This brought him great joy! Just when we thought he was done, he would find a place to add more lights! He was always resistant to getting a dog, until the day he decided to surprise his wife with one. He fell in love with Bella and loved spoiling and loving on her. She was always by his side, even until his last breath. George hadn't been well since August of 2021 and he knew his time on earth was short. He was ready and looked forward to meeting his Lord and Savior.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Walter Peters; two brothers and one sister.

The void that he leaves will never be filled, but we have the joy and assurance of knowing that we will see him again. He was dearly loved by his wife, children and grandchildren.
