Funeral Services for Pedro F. Peters, age 74 of Seminole, TX will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 2:00pm at Sommerfeld Mennonite Church with Pastor Isaak Fehr officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole, TX.

Pedro F. Peters was born January 26, 1949, in Mexico to Katarina (Friesen) and Heinrich Edward Peters. He was baptized in 1970 in Mexico at the Old Colony Church by Alteste Benhard Rempel. Pedro married Elisabeth Wiebe in Mexico on August 23, 1970, and celebrated 52 years of marriage in August 2022. Together they made their home and started a family in Blumenhof, Swift Colony, Mexico. Pedro made a living with farming and carpentry. In 1985, they moved their growing family to help establish a new colony in Bueno Vista near Ascensión. Pedro continued farming and carpentry wherever he could find work. As times got tough, they made the decision in 1994 to seek a better life for themselves and their family and moved to Seminole, TX. Here Pedro continued his career in carpentry and became an accomplished cabinet builder. He was proud of his kids and their accomplishments. His sons all followed in his footsteps with either farming or carpentry skills. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

Pedro F. Peters passed away at his home peacefully with his wife and several of his children with him on Friday evening July 7, 2023. He is preceded in death by both parents, two brothers, and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Elisabeth Peters of Seminole, TX and 6 sons - Henry Peters and wife Lisa of Littlefield, TX with their 3 children – Junior, Dianna and husband Frank Loewen, and Jenifer; and Pete Peters and wife Joanne of Wolfforth, TX with their 4 children – Azuriah, Mikaya, Arabella, and Emberly; and Neil Peters and wife Anna of Lubbock, TX with their 2 children – Jacqueline and Jaylee; and Jacob Peters and wife Nonnie of Lubbock, TX with their 2 children – Macy and Tuff; and John Peters of Abbotsford, BC; and Nick Peters and wife Tricia of Abernathy, TX with their 2 children – Zoey and Kinley; and 2 daughters – Mary Garrison and husband Wesley of Seminole, TX with their 4 children and 2 grandchildren – Alexsandra with her 2 children – Baylee and Ainsleigh; Chloe, Logan, and Rory; and Tina Dyck and her husband Jake of Lazbuddie, TX with their 2 children – Dawson and Ian. He had 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 sisters – Agatha Fehr and husband John of Seminole, TX; Tina Enns and husband Herman of Copeland, KS; and Maria Loewen of Montezuma, KS.
