Ruby Beatrice Hutson

Ruby Beatrice "Bea" Hutson, 85, of Hereford, died Saturday morning.

Services were held Monday afternoon at First Baptist Church, conducted by the pastor, Dr. Ron Cook, and the Rev. H.W. Bartlett, pastor of Temple Baptist Church. Burial was in West Park Cemetery, under direction of Gililland-Watson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hutson was born at Clarendon and married Rufus B. Hutson on Aug. 15, 1925, in Goodnight. He died in 1989. She had lived in Deaf Smith County since 1925, coming here from Goodnight. Mrs. Hutson was a member of First Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She had worked as a salesperson and a bus driver.

Survivors are three sons, Billy D. Hutson and James D. Hutson of Hereford, and H. Keith Hutson of Sequin; a sister, Blanche Putty of San Pedro, Cal.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family has requested that memorials be directed to the scholarship fund of First Baptist Church.
