HEREFORD — Johnny Joe Martinez, 71, of Hereford died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Rix Chapel. Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rix Funeral Directors of Hereford.
Mr. Martinez was born March 14, 1941, in Canyon to Conrad and Virginia Borquez Martinez. He was a Baptist by faith and drove trucks for a living. He married Ruby Blea on Nov. 19, 1960, in Hereford.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby; two sons, Johnny Martinez Jr. and Mike Martinez; a daughter, Connie Martinez; and three grandchildren, Sonia Rodriguez, Mike Martinez Jr. and Alyssa Martinez.
There will not be a formal visitation; however, friends are invited to come by the funeral home from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today or from noon until the service time Saturday.
