HEREFORD - Bibian M. Perez, 76, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, in Amarillo.

Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. today in Rix Funeral Directors. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Templo Calvario with Daniel Garza, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery.

Mr. Perez was born in Mission. He moved to Hereford in 1963. He worked for Caviness Meat Packing, Armour Meat Packing and Southwest Feedyard.

He married Maria Irene Martinez in 1977 at Clovis, N.M.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Juanita Escamilla and Maribel Claudio, both of Hereford, Viviana Guerrero of Dallas and Beatrice Gonzales of Dublin; a stepdaughter, Maria Diaz of Hereford; two stepsons, Emilio Martinez and Pedro Martinez, both of Hereford; three brothers, Rafael Perez of Robstown and Robert Perez and Porfirio Perez, both of American Falls, Idaho; two sisters, Raquel Garcia of Mission and Juanita Garcia of Altus, Okla.; 31 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Maria Irene Perez, 94, a resident of Hereford for over 50 years, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Calvary Family Church with the Reverend Robert Celestino, pastor, officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at West Park Cemetery. Cremation services are being handled, professionally, by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held Friday night at 6:00 p.m. at Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mrs. Perez passed away Monday, October 22, at her residence.

Maria Irene Rodriguez was born October 22, 1924 in Mission, Texas. She moved to Hereford in 1963 from Mission. She was an excellent cook, her tamales were the best in the world. She was an awesome, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and they all adored her. She married Bibian Perez in Clovis, New Mexico. She was an active member of Calvary Family Church.

The legacy she leaves includes six daughters, Maria Diaz and Juanita Escamilla both of Hereford, Viviana Galvez of Canyon, Marivel Mendez of Hereford, Olivia Martinez, and Irene Rodriguez both of Mexico, three sons,. Ricardo Martinez of Mexico, Pedro Martinez of Hereford and Emelio Martinez of Midland, thirty five grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bibian Perez one son and one daughter Beatrice Gonzalez.
