Williams Funeral Services Will Be Held Sunday

Funeral services for Carie [sic] Jernigan Williams will be held Sunday afternoon, Feb. 3, at the Gililland Funeral chapel at 3 p.m. Rev. Roy Ford will be in charge of the services.

Mrs. Williams died on January 31 in the Northwest Texas hospital in Amarillo following a short illness.

Mrs. Williams was born on June 4, 1867 in Mississippi and was married to J.L. William [sic] on January 15, 1885 in Greenville, Texas.

They came to Deaf Smith county in 1919 from Wichita county.

Mrs. Williams was a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors include: three sons, A.R. Williams, Amarillo; J.C. Williams, Hereford; J.G. Williams, Denard, Ark.; five daughters, Mrs. Johnny Kemp, Tucumcari, N.M., Mrs. C.B. Kendead, Globe, Ariz.; Mrs. Beda Key, Amarillo; Mrs. B.G. Brigance, West Point, Miss., Mrs. Fannie Smith, Amarillo; 24 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
