HEREFORD - Opal N. Roberson, 95, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in West Park Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Cosby, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Roberson was born in Eastland County. She moved to Deaf Smith County in 1928 from Abilene. She was a homemaker and a member of Hereford Garden Club, Hereford Study Club, the Porcelain Art Club and First Baptist Church. She also was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, holding many offices.
She married Bernard Roberson in 1928 at Abilene. He died in 2000.
Survivors include a daughter, Gayle Hinds of Amarillo; a sister, Edith Graham of Abilene; two brothers, Bill Neill of Abilene and Kenneth Neill of Friona; a granddaughter and a great-grandson.
