Cloyd W Adams, 80, a resident of Burkburnett since 1956 died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007 in Wichita Falls.
Memorial services were held 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan 21, 2007 at Jan Lee Baptist Church, Burkburnett with the Rev. Mark Simonds, pastor of Jan Lee Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home, Burkburnett.
Mr. Adams was born Jan. 9, 1927 in Electra, Texas. He was a butcher, and owner of Cloyds Meat Market in Burkburnett. He also worked for United Supermarkets for 15 years and was a member of Jan Lee Baptist Church. He married Patsy Blackard on June 13, 1948.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Adams of Burkburnett; son, Barry Adams and wife Carolyn of Burkburnett; daughter, Holly McElroy and husband Tom of Saudi Arabia; son, Tracy of Wichita Falls; brother, Jack B. Adams of Sherwood, Ark; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bart Adams; brother, Rex Adams; sisters, Melva Boulware, Pauline Jordon and Charleeta Howard._
