Hugh Thomas Adams, 73, an Electra resident for 21 years died Saturday afternoon in a local hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Monday from the First Baptist Church with burial in Electra Cemetery under the direction of James B. Totten and Son Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Lin­coln Scruggs, Tollie Wilborn, Rufus Jones, Bill Casey, R. E. Gilmore and Tandy Jackson.

A retired oil field employee Adams had lived in Electra 21 years. He was retired from the Mobil Oil Company after almost 32 years service.

He was born on Oct. 23, 1890, in Laneburg, Ark.

Survivors Include his wife, Lessie Adams of Electra; throe sons, Hugh Travis Adams of Houston, Homer Carl Adams of Los Angeles and Robert E Adams of Archer City and eight grandchildren._

Mrs. Lessie Adams, 83, died Sunday afternoon in an Archer City nursing home where she had resided eight years.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in James B. Totten and Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Electra Memorial Park.


Born Dec. 26, 1891, in Bell County, Tex., she resided in Electra 25 years before moving to Archer City.

Survivors include three sons, Robert E. of La Porte, Tex., H. Travis of Houston and Homer C. of Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Nettie and nine grandchil­dren._
