When Kenneth Alfred Ammons was born on November 1, 1920, in Vernon, Texas, his father, Charlie, was 28 and his mother, Hulda, was 20. He had one sister. He died on January 27, 1986, in Wilbarger, Texas, at the age of 65, and was buried in Fargo, Texas.
