Arnold Dewaine Griffin
August 7, 1934 - January 9, 2019

Arnold Dewaine Griffin, 84, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the funeral home. A celebration of his life will be held at 2 pm on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Fairlanes Baptist Church under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to a charity of choice.

Arnold was born August 7, 1934 in Borger to Robert Franklin Griffin and Avil Viola Taylor Griffin. He married Ethel Lewis on January 9, 1953 in Borger at North Hills Baptist Church. Arnold was a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church and Unity Lodge. He had the Phillips 66 filling station on Jefferson and Cedar and worked as an operator for Agrium. Arnold enjoyed fishing and camping but nothing brought more joy to his life than family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jesse Griffin; and great grandson, William Gene Griffin.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel of Borger; son, AJ Griffin and wife Debbie of Sanford; daughter, Linda Flood and husband Calvin of Stinnett; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; brothers, Robert Griffin and wife Faye of Oklahoma City, Randy Griffin and wife Kay of Fritch, Ricky Griffin and wife Pam of Amarillo; and a host of extended family.
