December 7, 1919 - March 22, 2015
Lillian LaValle Moore, 95, of Borger passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015 , at Caprock Nursing an Rehabilitation. She was born December 7, 1919 in Hunt Co., Texas to Lester and Lona Jane (Clements) Langley.
LaValle moved with her husband, Albert and four sons to Borger from Clarksville, Texas in 1952. During the early years in Borger, while raising those four sons, she managed to have a small business as a seamstress. She had a large customer following and created numerous wedding dresses for brides in the Borger and Stinnett area. She was also a vitamin distributor for Hilcoa Corporation for over 20 years, reaching one of the highest distributor levels in the company. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Borger.
LaValle is a born-again Christian. She lived a life of daily prayer. She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Borger and First Baptist Church in Phillips, where she taught Sunday School classes. She was always willing to help others. Later in life, she volunteered with Helping Hands and visited local nursing homes ministering to the residents.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert, who passed April 8, 1986, a son Jack Moore and 2 brothers and a sister and a granddaughter Terry Moore-Orcutt.
She is survived by 3 sons: Johnny Moore of Borger, David and wife Sandra Moore of Weatherford Texas, Stan and wife Vickie Moore of Bella Vista Arkansas; 2 brothers: Bill and wife Anna Langley of San Antonio Texas and Dan and wife Wanda Langley of San Angelo Texas ; 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 25, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains. Burial will follow at Stinnett Cemetery. Mrs. Moore will lie in state Tuesday March 24, 2015 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Brown's Chapel in Borger.
Her family will always remember her beautiful needle work, her love of maps, her silly poses in family pictures, her quick wit, her thirst for knowledge and her love for God and her family.
